Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are definitely not your momma's cookies, however they are Grandma's! My mom had this recipe and said I should try it out.  Considering it has cream cheese and chocolate chips in it, I was more than happy too.  These cookies are soft, very moist and delicious!  I love cookies that have this type of texture and the cream cheese is subtle while the chocolate chips are not over powering.  These are not your typical chocolate chip cookies, to me they are better!

Ingredients are as follows:

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 C butter, softened
1/4 C applesauce
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar
3 C flour
1 (11.5 ounce) bag of milk chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together the cream cheese and butter.

Beat in the applesauce, vanilla and eggs.

Add baking soda, salt, both sugars and flour; stir until combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Drop round tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, until slightly golden brown.

Take a bite and enjoy!

    1. I never have, however I'm sure you could. You would have to replace it with butter or oil.
