Witch's Finger Cookies

Please note that this is a compensated post, the opinions expressed are my own.

It's almost Halloween and it's time to start thinking about all the delicious snacks you'll be serving this year.  I like quick and easy recipes and ones that don't cost a fortune either.  This year I'm lucky because I found the Dollar Tree Value Seekers Club.  On the site you can find crafts, recipes, decor, tips, contests (different every month), insider information, frugal fun ideas, tons of inspiration for the holidays and more!  It's all free and you can even save your project sheets or print them and take it to the store so you'll remember to pick up everything.

The first thing I made were the Witch's Finger Cookies.  I think they're spooky enough for Halloween, but not too scary for the kids.  It calls for chocolate at the end, however I decided to take some white icing, add red food coloring and put that on the ends instead.  My kids also wanted to paint the "finger nails" so I let them have fun with that too!  These cookies were so simple to make and didn't cost a lot since I bought everything at The Dollar Tree.  Here's what I picked up:
  • Sugar Cookie Mix (plus the ingredients needed)
  • Pumpkin Seeds (sliced almonds will also work)
  • Food Coloring
  • Vanilla Icing

It's as simple as making the cookie dough, adding the green food coloring, roll them and bake.  When they're done, place a finger nail on top, add red food coloring to the icing and add a dash to the ends.  Then it's time to serve some spooky fingers!

For more inspiration please stop over and sign up at the
Dollar Tree Value Seekers Club

Congratulations KaySue you are the winner!

I'm signed up. I'd like to make a Christmas Centerpiece with the cylinder vases.

Once you do, come back here and leave a comment (don't forget to leave your email) stating that you signed up and which project you'd like to make first.  You'll then be entered to win a $100 gift card from The Dollar Tree.  One winner will be chosen at random from all the eligible entries and notified via email.

Dollar Tree states this contest is open to U.S. residents and will end on October 31st at midnight.  Winner has 48 hours to reply, if no reply, another winner will be chosen.   I was compensated to do this post, however the opinions expressed are my own.  For more information please visit here.
