Puppy Chow Recipe

Crispy cereal covered in chocolate, peanut butter, butter and powdered sugar.

One of the kids' favorite desserts is Puppy Chow.  It's a few simple ingredients like crispy rice cereal, chocolate chips, butter, peanut butter and powdered sugar.  When it's all mixed together it becomes a delicious dessert!  You can melt everything in the microwave, toss it in a bowl and enjoy.  This is the perfect recipe during the summer months because it doesn't require any baking time, and in a matter of minutes you'll be enjoying some delicious Puppy Chow!

Ingredients:  

1 (12.8 ounce) box crispy rice cereal

1 C peanut butter

1/4 C butter

1 C milk chocolate chips 

3 1/2 C powdered sugar

Directions: 

Pour cereal into a large bowl with a lid; set aside.

In another bowl, place the peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips.

Melt in the microwave on high for one minute.  Stir until combined.

Pour over the cereal, place the lid on the bowl and shake until evenly coated.

Remove lid, pour in the powdered sugar, place the lid back on and shake again.

Serve and enjoy!
