Yesterday I introduced you to the Box Tops for Education™ program that is a wonderfulprogram to participate in.Box Tops for Education™ has over 80,000 schools participating and has contributed over $525 million dollars to schools nationwide.
When we first started collecting box tops we would rip them off the product and then toss them on top of the microwave in a little dish. When it was time to turn them in we were looking everywhere for them which took a lot of time and caused a mess. I drink a lot of coffee and always like to recycle so I thought why not take the empty coffee cans, decorate them and then use those to collect the box tops.
This way the box tops are all in one place and easy to collect.
When it's time to send them into school we just gather them up, place them in a bag and off to school they go. Our school takes get pride in collecting Box Tops because living in a rural area it helps out tremendously and the kids are rewarded for all of their efforts. They are always holding contests and whatever classroom collects the most box tops gets a pizza party, or a popcorn and a movie, an ice cream party, etc.
You can find Box Tops on so many products at Walmart. Right now they are offering Bonus Box Tops where you get 5 box tops instead of one! Each box top is worth .10 so you'll get .50 from one product. I hope you'll start collecting box tops and start earning money for their school too.
