Don't throw away all those candy bars; you can turn them into rich and delicious cheesecake brownies! In the latest Halloween edition of the Taste of Home magazine there is a recipe that calls for your favorite candy bar not only in the cheesecake layer, but the brownies too. I had lots of candy bars so I couldn't wait to make these. They're simple to make, they use staple ingredients and they bake up in about half an hour. These are rich and delicious, so enjoy!

Ingredients are as follows:
brownie batter:
1 C butter
2 C sugar
1/3 C cocoa
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 C flour
1 tsp. salt
1 C chopped candy bars
cheesecake layer:
1 (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
1/3 C sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 C chopped candy bars
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
Melt the butter and then mix in the sugar, cocoa and vanilla.
Whisk in the four eggs, one at a time.
Add the flour and salt.
Stir until combined.
Mix in the 1 cup of chopped candy bars.
Pour into prepared pan; set aside.
Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth.
Mix in the egg and beat until blended.
Mix in the 1/2 C of chopped candy bars.
Pour on top of the brownie batter.
Swirl the cream cheese mixture into the brownie batter.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling in the center is almost set.
Allow to cool then slice, serve and enjoy!
My daughter will love a slice of this. She's a cheesecake lover.
