One of our favorite desserts is Apple Pizza because it's an easy recipe to prepare and it tastes delicious too!  My kids could eat it every day, and as much as I would like to let them, I don't.  I decided to come up with an alternative for us to enjoy the delicious taste of fruit pizza, but on the lighter side.

One of the main reasons I like to lighten up recipes is because years ago I was on Weight Watchers® and it taught me a whole new way of thinking about food.  The points system is very easy to follow, and honestly you can eat whatever you like, as long as it falls within your points.  I don't follow it much now, but I still buy the wonderful products they offer because I know it's a better choice for me.  I just pick up whatever I need when I'm at Walmart, and as you can see from the picture above they always have a lot to choose from.  If you'd like to try a variety of Weight Watchers products you can this weekend at your local Walmart.  Take a look at the list to find the store nearest you and here are the demo times:

10/29 – Thursday 12:30-7:00 PM
10/30 – Friday 12:30-7:00 PM
10/31 – Saturday 10:00-4:30 PM
11/1 – Sunday 12:30-7:00 PM

One of the most versatile products I've found are Bagel Thins.  We use them for breakfast sandwiches, pizza crusts, burger buns, and lots more.  Let me show you how I lightened up our favorite fruit pizza!

Ingredients are as follows:
Print Friendly and PDF

1 plain Bagel Thin
spray butter
cinnamon
2 Tbsp. apple butter
1/2 Tbsp. lite butter
2 tsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. oats
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Spray a bagel with spray butter and sprinkle on the desired amount of cinnamon.

Serve and enjoy...it's only 5-6 points depending on what type of apple butter and butter you use.  If you'd like more Weight Watchers recipes just click HERE and also share your favorite in the comment section.  I'd love to know your creations!

  1. These sound amazing. I love apple butter but other than toast I don't really use it. This would make a great breakfast... or dessert. #client
