My great grandchildren and I love to bake Christmas treats for our family and the neighbors here. I realize that most people bake also but this tradition started with my mother, then myself, my children, my grandchildren and now my great grandchildren. I so love the time we spend together laughing and baking.
ReplyDeleteFavorite tradition? We don't go all out for the Christmas holidays but we do always read the christmas story on Christmas Eve and the youngest reader in the family gets that honor. Our focus is always keeping Christ at the forefront of the holidays - presents come after the reading on Christmas Eve though and that is always a fun thing to look forward to.. ReplyDeleteWe have several traditions but I think my favorite tradition is after we go for drive on Christmas Eve to look at the Christmas lights, I read O. Henry's story "The Fourth Wiseman". I have done this since our children were young and I still choke up while reading the last two pages...Great message in that book.
