I love it when something so simple tastes so delicious! This recipe came to me the other night and I couldn't wait to go to the store to pick up some canned cinnamon rolls. The center of the rolls have a thick layer of sweetened cream cheese (yum!) and the icing is the one that came with the rolls. This is a quick and easy recipe for breakfast or dessert!
Ingredients are as follows:
1 (8 count ) 12.4 ounce can of cinnamon rolls with icing
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 C powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease an 8 x 8 inch pan.
Roll out cinnamon rolls until thin.
Carefully pick it up (mine fell apart a little) and place four into the pan.
Cream together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla.
Evenly spread this onto the four cinnamon rolls in the pan.
Place the remaining four cinnamon rolls on top.
Bake for 18-20 minutes; until the edges are golden brown.
Brush the top with the melted butter and drizzle on the icing.
Allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Slice, serve and enjoy!
Looks easy and wonderful!

YUm!!! Wish I had these rolls on hand!! DARN!
ReplyDeleteMine are in the oven right now! I guess I wasn't paying much attention at the store because I got the jumbo cinnamon rolls, and there were only 5.Oops! I didn't realize this till I got to the last roll. (I was in a hurry.) So I ended up folding the bottom ones over then adding the last roll to the end. I hope it works out ok. They smell so good!
ReplyDeleteI pinned this and I'm putting mine in the oven now!! Can't wait to try them!! :)
ReplyDeleteI just baked these and they came out too thin and creamy, not what I was expecting. Tasted good but not amazingly good & made my house smell wonderful I think I rolled the buns to much LOL:)
