ReplyDeleteI like Thanksgiving because of the turkey and stuffing that my grandmother used to make and I make now because I have her recipe. My siblings and cousins all loved our grandmother's stuffing. I am glad that I can carry this recipe on for many years to come.

ReplyDeleteChristmas is always my favorite holiday and it is a long-standing tradition (started by my Gram) to make the men in our family her Mexican Wedding Cake cookies. All the men in my family have adored these cookies so they each get a batch at Christmas. My mother inherited her recipe when Gram couldn't make them anymore and I took over the honor after my mother's passing. I feel very connected to both of them when I start my annual baking spree.
