Once we got home I sauteed the onions until translucent, then added in the garlic, spinach and kale.
Cook for about 5-8 minutes until it wilts down.
Then you mix in the cream cheese, sour cream, real bacon bits, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and milk.
Stir that all together and then place half into one ramekin. With the other half I like to add in a few dashes of hot sauce to spice it up a little; place into the other ramekin. I then sprinkle on a little more Parmesan cheese, place a few drops of hot sauce on top of the one so we know which one it is while baking.
Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes; until golden brown on top.
Grab the crackers, dip and a serving tray.
Place the dips onto the tray, arrange the crackers around them then serve and enjoy!
Hot Spinach, Kale & Bacon Dip
Ingredients are as follows:
1 small onion, diced
1 1/2 C chopped kale
2 C chopped spinach
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 C sour cream or plain greek yogurt
2 Tbsp. real bacon bits
1/4 C shredded Parmesan cheese + 1 Tbsp.
1 Tbsp. milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease two 4 inch ramekins.
