One Bowl Chocolate-Chip Blondies

Rich delicious blondies wrapped around creamy chocolate chips!

One Bowl Chocolate-Chip Blondies

I love brownies, but sometimes I like to make them without cocoa this way the rich butter flavor shines through.  However, I do toss in a few chocolate chips so they have a little bit of chocolate.  These are so simple because you mix them in one bowl so there's little mess and they bake in about half an hour.  If you'd like, you can always swap out the chocolate chips for m&m's, toffee bits or even peanut butter cups.  Any way you make them, they're thick, rich and delicious!

Chocolate Fudge Earthquake Cake

Chocolate fudge, cream cheese, coconut and chocolate chips blended into one delicious cake!

Chocolate fudge, cream cheese, coconut and chocolate chips blended into one delicious cake!

I recently made my own version of Earthquake Cakes and I'm so happy how they turned out.  It started with a Red Velvet Earthquake Cake then a Pumpkin Earthquake Cake and now this Chocolate Fudge Earthquake Cake.  They are so simple to make and so delicious!  The combination of sweetened cream cheese, butter, chocolate chips and coconut go together perfectly then it's swirled into a rich chocolate fudge mix and baked into one beautiful cake!

Red Velvet Earthquake Cake

red velvet, cake, cream cheese, chocolate, dessert

I've never tried an Earthquake cake before, and honestly I can't believe I waited so long!  They're usually made with a German chocolate cake mix, however I wanted to use red velvet and I also prepared it in a different way.  Instead of putting the coconut on the bottom, I mixed mine with the cream cheese, tossed in some chocolate chips, and skipped the nuts.  This cake was so moist and delicious!  I love how simple it is to make...and it is so good it doesn't even need a frosting.  If you're in a hurry and need a quick and easy dessert, make sure you try this one...you won't be disappointed!

Don't forget to try Chocolate Fudge and Pumpkin too!

Chunky Monkey Cupcakes

chunky monkey cupcakes, banana, chocolate, walnuts

Chunky Monkey Ice Cream is a family favorite!  The bananas, chocolate and walnuts go together so well.  Since we love the ice cream and the flavor combination I decided to make a cupcake version.  I started with a banana cupcake and added in some chocolate chips and crushed walnuts.  To top it off I made a chocolate butter-cream frosting and sprinkled on a dash of walnuts to make it look pretty.  So the next time you're out of  Chunky Monkey ice cream, whip up a batch of these.  A delicious way to have that Chunky Monkey flavor any time you want!

Coconut & Chocolate Delight Bites!

Having four kids, school, sports and other activities our lives are pretty busy all the time.  However, at the end of the year it seems to get even more hectic.  I don't know what it is, but I'm happy when it's over.  Even though it's crazy I still like to whip up a dessert for us to have once a week.  I had some coconut and chocolate chips that have been sitting around and thought I'd come up with something quick and easy to use them up.  These little bites turned out delicious and you can make a batch in no time at all!

The Best of 2012

This time of year I like to count down the top 10 recipes on Flour Me With Love.  The recipe that was viewed the most this year is my Apple Fritter BreadIf you like apple fritters, but don't like to deep fry, then this bread is the perfect solution.  It has the taste and texture of an apple fritter without all the guilt!  The rest of the recipes are all delicious too.

I hope you enjoy!

The Best Scones Ever!

I think scones are one of the most versatile recipes.  I love that you can add your favorite ingredient and put your own twist on it too!  When I saw this recipe in The Christmas Table, from Gooseberry Patch, I knew I wanted to try it.  This is a simple recipe where you get to choose what you'd like to add.  You can add chocolate chips (like I did), raisins, cherries, etc...the possibilities are endless!  The Christmas Table is the latest cookbook from Gooseberry Patch and yet again it is wonderful.  It's filled with so many amazing recipes, little tidbits of holiday traditions, ways to decorate and the lovely clip art too!  They have graciously offered one of you a chance to win one and I've thrown in a little something too.  Make sure you enter the contest below!

International Delight S'mores Cake

If you've been reading here long, you know that I love to do my part when it comes to helping others.  Recently I was asked to partner up with International Delight to raise awareness of their "Share your Delight" donation program. This program helps raise money to donate Winter Coats to children that need them.  All you have to do is register the UPC code from a specially marked bottle of International Delight®, Silk®, Horizon® or LAND O LAKES®.   For every UPC that you register, they will donate .50 cents to Operation Warm.   Pretty simple, huh?   Plus to make it even simpler, they are offering you a $1.00 off coupon to any Seasonal Creamer.  I was also asked as to how I use their Seasonal Creamers.  Of course I love them in my coffee (or straight out of the bottle!) and I also like to use them in recipes.  I think they're a simple way to add great flavor...here's what I came up with!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake Bars

I saw these bars on Pillsbury and have been wanting to make them for quite some time.  I love cookie dough and cream cheese so I knew they would be divine!  Then my good friend Stephanie from Back for Seconds asked if I'd like to help celebrate the launch of her new site...she's a dot com now so of course I said yes!  If you haven't been to her site, make sure you do because she has so many wonderful recipes and her pictures are always beautiful!  While you're there, you'll get to see all the other wonderful blogs that are helping her celebrate too!  I knew these bars would be the perfect way to celebrate; they're simple to make, they taste delicious and would be great for any party!

Triple Layer Bars

The other night I was thinking about all the flavors that I like and decided to combine them into one dessert.  First there is a fudgy layer of brownie, then a decadent layer of cheesecake, and to top it off...cookie dough frosting (there's no egg in the frosting so it's perfectly safe to eat.)  It's so rich that you only need a little piece to satisfy the sweet tooth!

Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are definitely not your momma's cookies, however they are Grandma's! My mom had this recipe and said I should try it out.  Considering it has cream cheese and chocolate chips in it, I was more than happy too.  These cookies are soft, very moist and delicious!  I love cookies that have this type of texture and the cream cheese is subtle while the chocolate chips are not over powering.  These are not your typical chocolate chip cookies, to me they are better!
