Savory Cheese & Fig Tart Recipe

Savory cream cheese topped with a sweet fig preserve that's all wrapped up in a flaky dough!

Normally I share a lot of sweets on here, but today I'm sharing a savory tart that has just a hint of sweetness.  I love the combination of figs and cheese, and over the holidays I made a puff pastry, cheese and fig appetizer which turned out delicious.  The other day I was craving it, but I didn't feel like making puff pastry so I looked in the fridge, saw crescent rolls and decided to make tarts using the same concept.  This recipe only requires three ingredients and you can make it in a matter of minutes.  It's the perfect little bite to pop in your mouth and enjoy!

Baked Brie & Fig Spread

Baked Brie & Fig Spread; flourmewithlove.com

The holidays are among us and that means a lot of entertaining going on; the perfect time to be with family and friends.  I love to entertain and prepare lots of different dishes and bake tons of desserts.  This year I got to try the new Orchard Choice California Fig Spreads.  I must say, these are quite unique!  The fig flavor is delicious, they're not too sweet and they go well with anything.  I was actually eating mine straight out of the jar!  They are made with California figs, and they come in four different flavors.

What's in your lunchbox?

Well it's back to school and that means a lot of lunches that I'll be packing!  My littlest one packs his lunch every day and I'm always looking for healthy new products to try.  His favorite cookies are fig newtons; I know, it's crazy for a seven year old, but he loves them!  Trying to find "healthy" ones is a task so most of the time I make them myself...until now!

Daelia Energy Bites

Have you heard of Daelia's Biscuits for Cheese? They are wonderful thin crisp biscuits that pair very well with so many cheeses.  They offer Hazelnut with fig, Pumpkin Seed with rye, and Almond with raisins.  I had the pleasure of receiving some samples from them and I'm so happy that I did!  These biscuits are not like any other biscuit that I've seen.  They have big slices of hazelnuts, figs, pumpkin seeds, almonds, and raisins...ones that you can actually see!
