Apple Cake Roll

 

It's Fall and that means apple season.  I can't wait for you to try this Apple Cake Roll!

I'm always looking for easy recipes and when I was looking through an old cookbook the other day a very unique recipe jumped out at me.  It starts out by shredding apples and applying them directly to a lined cookie sheet.  Then a light and fluffy batter is made and poured over the apples. Once you bake it the apples remain on the bottom and you roll the cake up with the apples inside.  I made this twice, once with regular sugar and once with a sugar substitute; they both tasted the same.  I love how this comes together quickly, it's not that sweet and it doesn't require any frosting!

Quick, Easy & Delicious Pumpkin Roll

 

The holidays are fast approaching and I know I like to plan as much as possible!  Every year on our Thanksgiving menu is my Pumpkin Roll.  It's simple to prepare, bakes up in a few minutes and it's one of the first desserts to go!  I hope you enjoy this as much as our family does.

Banana Cream Roll

 

My family loves pumpkin roll.  I made one for Thanksgiving and while my husband was eating it he asked if I could make it with bananas.  I thought why not...all I'd have to do is swap out the pumpkin for bananas.  However it didn't turn out quite right!  After some trial and error, I got it the way I wanted and it turned out great.  It's very simple to make and I look forward to making this throughout the year!

Scratch Cinnamon Roll Coffee Cake

Lately I've seen quite a few recipes for cinnamon roll cake and honey bun cake.  I made one that was made from scratch and one that was made with a cake mix. They were good, however  I like cinnamon rolls to be on the dense side (you know, that gooey center) and that's the kind of cake I wanted to replicate.  So this cake is a little dense (that's why I called it a coffee cake),  it has great cinnamon roll flavor and the perfect icing to top it off!
