Apple Cream Pie with Walnuts Recipe

Thick cream mixed with seasoned apples that are baked into a delicious pie!

Apple Cream Pie with Walnuts Recipe

The other day I was at the store and they had canned apple pie filling on sale for .75 cents and it doesn't even expire soon!  So of course I bought quite a few and I also picked up the new Extra Thick Double Cream from BK Creamery.  A few weeks ago I introduced you to this new cream and so far I've been enjoying it quite often.

Cafe' au Lait Pudding from Date Night In by Ashley Rodriguez

flourmewithlove.com

My husband and I got married when were 20 and have been together for 26 years!  We now have four kids so time with "just the two of us" is limited.  One of our favorite times is when the kids are in bed and we get to sit and talk about everything.  I normally make us a little snack so one of the first recipes I tried from "Date Night In" is Cafe' au Lait Pudding; it is amazing!  In this book you'll find over 120 recipes to nourish your relationship and features 25 date-worthy occasions spread out among the four seasons.

No-Bake Cookies & Cream Cheesecake Pie

flourmewithlove.com

It's finally summer; the sun is shining and the weather is nice and warm! This means I'm outside more and not wanting to be in the hot kitchen for hours.  I use my crock pot a lot in the summer and I always love to make no-bake desserts.  The other day my husband mentioned cheesecake, but I didn't want to bake one so I made this simple no-bake cookies and cream cheesecake pie.  It starts out with a store bought crust, however you could always make your own, then a few ingredients are tossed in and in no time at all you have a simple and delicious pie waiting for you!

Easy Cream Biscuits made in half an hour!

sour-cream-easy-biscuits

I've been a stay-at-home mom for 18 years now and I wouldn't have it any other way. When my husband and I decided to have kids, we both agreed that I would quit working and stay home.  Now four kids later it seems like we are running in a different direction every night!  Even though we're busy I always fit in a sit down dinner.  There are no phones, no TV's, no iPods...nothing but good conversation!  This is a time that all six of us are together and we're able to catch up on what is happening in everyone's day.  Even a simple dinner like soup, salad and bread makes for great conversation.  Sometimes I don't have time to make a traditional yeast bread, so I'll whip up a batch of biscuits.  These drop biscuits are simple to make, the addition of cream makes them so delicious and they can be made within half an hour!

Chocolate-Hazelnut Icebox Cake

Way back in March I saw this picture and recipe for Chocolate-Hazelnut Icebox Cake.  As soon as I saw it,  I knew I had to make it!  This recipe belongs to Carol from: Pampered Chef Consultant - Carol's Corner She shares so many beautiful pictures and amazing recipes on her facebook page that I encourage you to stop over and take a look!  You can also subscribe to her newsletter so you'll receive special offers, tips & tricks, and recipes every month...all for free!  Her cake is a snap to put together and there's no baking required.  I ended with a layer of crackers on mine and I also spread the Hazelnut Cream all over the top.  Even though mine didn't look nearly as pretty as Carol's, it still turned out delicious!

Chocolate, Strawberries & Cream Dessert

Have you ever seen those strawberries that are filled with cream and then dipped in chocolate?  They look so good!  I didn't have time to make them so I decided to come up with a dessert that had the same flavor combination without all the work.  This is so simple to put together and it definitely hit the spot!

Banana Cream Pudding

If you need a dessert that feeds a crowd and is simple to make then this is the one to try!  This has cookies in it and I'm not crazy about soggy cookies.  So to not have that happen, I sneak in a little bit of banana cream pudding mix.  This enhances the banana flavor and there are no soggy cookies from sitting so long.   I usually leave ours in the fridge for about two hours and that seems perfect for us.  If you want softer cookies then let it set up longer. The longer it sits, the softer the cookies!
