Peanut Butter Mousse & Brownie Tarts

Creamy peanut butter mousse on a rich brownie tart that's topped with a milk chocolate drizzle.

creamy, peanut, butter, mousse, rich, brownie, tarts, chocolate, drizzle

I love peanut butter and chocolate together; one of my favorite combinations!  The other day the kids wanted brownies, but I was in the mood for something with peanut butter.  I decided to make a peanut butter mousse then swirl it on top of rich, decadent brownies.  To top it off I took some milk chocolate, melted it down and drizzled it on top.  We made them into tarts so they are bite size and you can toss them right into your mouth!

Strawberry (filled) Shortcake Tarts

I love this time of year when all the fresh fruit is on sale.  Our kids love fruit so I bought a ton of strawberries, blueberries, watermelons, and kiwi the other day.  Plus I couldn't wait to come up with some new desserts!  First up are these cute little strawberry shortcake tarts.  They are little shortcakes filled with sweetened strawberries, topped with cream cheese icing and a chocolate drizzle.  They're delicious and simple to make too!  With the warmer weather here I don't like to spend hours on dessert; you can whip these up in no time!

Carrot Cake Tarts with Cream Cheese Frosting

Easter is upon us and I know everyone is looking for quick & easy desserts!  These carrot & cream cheese tarts start out with a cake mix, add a few ingredients, top with icing and you're ready to enjoy!  I decided to make these like my cake mix brownies so they are a little on the thicker/denser side.  I love desserts like that, however if you don't, you could always make the cake mix according to the package directions so they'll be lighter; more like a cupcake.  Either way these are sure to please!

Chocolate Mousse Tarts

I love finding quick and easy recipes.  When I saw this one on Gooseberry Patch, I thought it would make a perfect little treat for Valentine's Day...which is not so far away! You can have these made in a matter of minutes and share them with someone you love ;)

Pumpkin Lofthouse Sugar Tarts with Maple Buttercream

I love lofthouse sugar cookies!  So I decided to make them into tarts, but not just any tarts...Pumpkin Tarts!  I took my recipe and instead of using the sour cream that's called for, I replaced it with pumpkin.  This gave the tarts just a subtle hint of pumpkin.  Then I topped them off with a maple buttercream frosting and sprinkled on a little cinnamon.  It all came together perfectly!  They're very simple to make and they turned out cute too :)

Tandy Tarts

Half of our family likes Tandy Cake while the other half say they don't care for it.  So I decided to make the recipe, but instead of a cake, I made them into tarts!  I made a light and airy sponge cake and the peanut butter topping has a little butter, vanilla and sugar to kick it up a notch.  Then I drizzled on some chocolate to make them complete!  Even the ones that said they didn't care for Tandy Cake ate these in no time at all!

Oatmeal & Peanut Butter Filled Cookie Tarts

This is my recipe for peanut butter and oatmeal cookies that our family loves!  I've been making it for years and it never fails me. However today I wanted to do something different with it. So I made them into a tart, filled them with a creamy peanut butter center and drizzled chocolate on top! The creamy center adds a wonderful touch and of course so does the chocolate.  These would be great to make if you needed a dessert to take to a party because they're simple to make and they look so cute!
