Apple & Flax Seed Muffins
Mornings can be hectic in our house so I like to prep ahead of time. If the kids can't sit down for breakfast, I like them to have something they can grab on their way out the door, and these Apple & Flax Seed Muffins are perfect. They are packed full of apples, pecans, and flax seed which starts their day the right way!

Buttermilk Blueberry Banana Muffins
Buttermilk makes these blueberry and banana muffins moist and delicious!
Muffins are a favorite of mine because you can literally make them in so many flavors; they are portable and portioned controlled! When I saw this recipe for Buttermilk Blueberry Banana Bread, I knew I had to make it, but into muffins. I love adding buttermilk into my recipes because it adds a slight tartness and so much moisture. Plus the combination of blueberries and banana was very inviting. I did lower the sugar being that I was making them for a neighbor who isn't allowed a lot of sugar, and even so, they turned out amazing! I can't wait to make a few batches of these and store them in the freezer for a quick breakfast...enjoy!

Banana & Peanut Butter Muffin Bites #JifPeanutPowder #WalMart
Mornings can be quite hectic around here! I get up at 5am, get my husband off to work at 6am, get one set of kids up and get them off to school at 7:15am then get the other ones up and get them out the door at 8:10am. During those times I have to make sure everyone is fed with something that's quick, delicious and on the go. So when I was asked by The J.M. Smucker Company to create a unique recipe using the new Jif Peanut Powder I was happy to get started on a new breakfast treat that the whole family will enjoy!

Apple(sauce) Spice Muffins with Penuche Frosting
There are so many wonderful people who share my recipes on Facebook and I am so grateful to all of you! Whenever someone suggests a recipe I always try to get one made and hopefully they'll like it. Recently Kevin, who shares my recipes all the time mentioned that he'd like something with Penuche. Honestly, I had never heard of it so I had to look it up. Once I did, I could see why he asked. It's a mixture of butter, brown sugar and cream...what's not to love? I finally came up with a recipe that I was happy with and I'm so excited to share it with all of you!

High Protein~Low Sugar Muffins with Low-Carb Icing
I love nothing more then getting up early and having a few cups of coffee to start my day! Usually I don't eat breakfast, but there are times that I do enjoy a little something. I've been trying to incorporate protein powder into some of my recipes and this is a perfect combination...high protein, low sugar blueberry muffins that I topped off with low carb sweet cream icing. They're simple to make and it's the perfect way to start the day!

Banana Oat Crumb Muffins
Now that school is out I'm always trying to come up with quick and easy recipes for breakfast. I'd prefer the kids to eat something I cook for them rather than eat cereal. However, there are times when they're not in the mood and they'd prefer something they can just grab and go. These deliciously moist banana oat crumb muffins hit the spot! Not only are they simple to make, they're filled with lots of bananas and oats...and they have very little sugar. They're the perfect way to start the day!

Sweet Apple Butter Muffins
Muffins are the perfect little treat and I love how versatile they are. This recipe from Gooseberry Patch's newest cookbook 101 Farmhouse Favorites is one that's streusel topped, filled with apple butter and oh so delicious! In this new cookbook you can choose from Break of Day Breakfasts, Garden-Fresh Soups & Salads, Family Dinner Favorites, Blue-Ribbon Desserts and Classic Country Canning. What I love about this book is that every recipe has a big, beautiful picture. Once I saw the Sweet Apple Butter Muffins I couldn't wait to make them. They're quick, easy and the perfect little treat for the kids to grab on their way out the door!

Tate's Bake Shop Banana Mocha Muffins
I had the pleasure of being asked to review Tate's Bake Shop: Baking for Friends cookbook, hosting a giveaway (enter below) and entering their Baking for Friends Bake Off. It has been such a pleasure participating and I'm so grateful to have been asked ;) As you can see the cookbook is beautiful! It starts off with a wonderful introduction and some tips that Kathleen King shares about baking her recipes. The pictures in this book are beautiful as well. I love cookbooks that have pictures because you actually get to see how the recipes turn out!
